Updating SIL3 certificates for Pneumatic Actuators GD and GS type

The standard IEC 61508: 2010 defines the following aspects:

- the content of the Company Quality System with respect to Functional Safety Management System (FSMS)

- the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD), PFH (Probability of Failure per Hour), SIL (Safety Integrity Level), the reliability of components, equipment and systems used in safety.

IEC 61508 is an internationally accepted method to ensure and demonstrate the level of reliability of a device, system or plant with security implications, that is, risks to man, the environment, and things.

The probability that a device or system is unable to provide the required security function corresponds to a SIL level, which is an integer (from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 4) to express the security integrity level of the Device / security system in question.

The certification of the ACTUATECH pneumatic actuators according to IEC 61508 also includes the certification of FSMS, ie the company's ability to avoid and control failures during product design and development.
